【作者簡介】
　　潘能，西安交通大學外語系教授，碩士研究生導師，留英伯明翰大學英語系研究語言學，西安交通大學外語系原副主任兼英語教研室主任，曾任全國大學英語教學指導委員會委員以及四、六級口語考試專家主考。潘能教授歷年為英語專業高年級開設“英語口譯”、“英語高級閱讀”，以及碩士研究生多門語言學課程。曾赴美國為中國代表團擔任全程口譯和技術培訓口譯、聯合國官員口譯、學術講座口譯、國際會議口譯、各類外事活動口譯等。潘能教授近年的著作有《英語聽力八步》、《英語短文寫作八步》、《英語閱讀八步》、《英語口語八步》、《英美散文選讀》、“大學英語達標快車系列”、《大學英語學習指南》以及《英語寫作——范文100篇》等。
